The moment I stepped into the role as my Mom’s caregiver, my confidence plummeted, and I felt forgotten – figuratively and literally.
Every day was filled with so many problems and frustrations that I felt like I was drowning in quicksand. I couldn’t find a permanent solution to any of them, and by the end of the fourth year, I came close to dying.
